Step One:
Punch a border on the top and bottom of the green background paper using the Fiskars ‘Scallop Sentiment’ border punch. Distress the edges of the paper using sandpaper.
Step two:
Trim1/2 inch of the side of the floral patterned paper and ¼ inch off the top.
Step three:
Position your photos along the top half of the floral patterned paper. Punch the outer corners of the photos using the Fiskars Corner Squeeze Punch, ‘Something Old, Something New’.
Step four:
Cut a large and a small butterfly using the Fiskars ShapeXpress out of red patterned paper. Cut a large butterfly out of the floral patterned paper so that the butterfly wings will sit over the edge of the photo. Distress the edges of the butterfly using sandpaper.
Step five:
Adhere the patterned paper over the top of the green background paper. Adhere the large butterfly over the top of the cut-out butterfly and the small butterfly on an angle beside the large butterfly. Use foam adhesive to lift the wings.
Step six:
Finish off by adding journaling along the bottom and side of the layout. Add black rhinestones as a border along the top of the layout and to embellish the butterfly. Add a title using Lil Davis Alphabet Stickers in the bottom right hand corner.
Latest Tip:I love to ink and paint but don't like the mess it leaves behind. And I am a scrooge so I won't pay lots of $'s to buy a special mat. But You can make it with some wrapping paper and contact sheeting. Tear off wrapping paper to desired size, flatten and cover with contact sheeting, like a school book....
